Scope of Application
Testing for the anti-drilling property of various fabrics used for making down products and fabrics. This test is used to measure the performance of various fabrics in preventing down or feathers from penetrating through the seams.
Structural Principles
The fabric anti-drilling performance refers to the property of the fabric that prevents down or feathers from penetrating through the gaps between the yarns. It is expressed by the number of drilling roots under specified conditions. The sample is made into a bag, filled with a certain amount of down, and placed in the rotating box of the testing instrument. At the same time, hard rubber balls are also placed in the rotating box. The gearbox rotates at a certain speed, dropping the rubber balls to a certain height and impacting the sample. This is done to simulate the various compressions, manipulations, and collisions that occur during the wearing of down products.The anti-drilling performance of the fabric is evaluated by counting the number of down roots that drill out from the sample.
